For all emergencies dial 911. The Police Department is located at 202 East Lee Street (Across from the Post Office). Our police are on duty 24 hours a day. They may be reached at 842-9911 from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. After 5:30 p.m., calls may be dispatched through the Bulloch County Sheriff's Department at 764-8888 or through 911.

A division of the Bulloch County Fire Department is located in Brooklet on Highway 80 and is staffed by volunteers. To report a fire, dial 911.

Water and garbage pickup is provided by the town. These services may be obtained by calling City Hall at 842-2137.

Brooklet is served by Georgia Power Company at 489-3671 and Excelsior EMC at 764-2123.

Private gas companies serve the Brooklet area. Consult the yellow pages of your phone book for a list of propane dealers.

Brooklet Elementary is located on West Lane Street and has kindergarten through fifth grade. The telephone number is 842-2735.

Southeast Bulloch Middle and Southeast Bulloch High are located next to each other outside of town on the Brooklet-Denmark Highway. The middle school accommodates grades sixth through eighth and can be reached at 842-9555. The high school telephone number is 842-2131.

The Brooklet Elementary Preschool can be reached at 842-2735. The Brooklet United Methodist Preschool is located at 201 North Parker Avenue and can be reached at 842-2910.

Children are required to have birth certificates, proof of immunization and social security numbers before enrollment in Bulloch County. A child must be six years of age before September 1st to enter the first grade. For more information contact the Bulloch County Board of Education at 764-6201.

Newcomers may register to vote in local, state and national elections by picking up a "Voter Registration" form from City Hall or at the Voter Registration office in the Bulloch County Courthouse.
